The Scandal at the Minneapolis/St. Paul Airport (MSP)

If there ever was such a thing as a food/drink mafia then it's alive and well at the Minneapolis/St. Paul airport. All the food and drink concessions appear to be run by one company:  HMS Host. Try and see if you can get a straight price for a drink on any of their menus. You'll be offered an upgrade to your drink for $2.00 but nowhere will you see the price of the drink that you're trying to order. Before a recent flight I ordered a pint of of domestic beer at Chilis, which cost $7.49. I would never have ordered it if I had seen the price. Another time I ordered a Margarita from a bar run by HMS Host, the bartender offered me all sorts of upgrades to the drink, which I declined and it still cost me $11.50.

I have no quarrel with their prices. It's their right to price their products as they see fit but it's my right to know a price of a drink before I order it. Food isn't much better if you go to a bar/restaurant run by HMS Host. Recently a turkey sandwich and a beer set me back by over $20.00. Is anyone at the MAC listening? Shocking really in this day and age.
