A Rumored City
Some of us Still Live in the Land of Milk & Honey
It's been a particularly grim weekend in Minneapolis. On Thursday we flirted with 80 degrees but by Saturday we were down in the forties with a cruel and cold rain. I collected my Saturday mail to find what I can only put down as a very poorly timed piece of marketing gimmick. Take a look for yourself:

The annual membership cost is a triffle at $495.00. The card is made of carbon and is sure to make you feel special. The $495.00 fee gets you "unmatched" concierge service twenty-four hours a day to get you that ticket from New York to Paris on the Concorde had the beast still been flying. It's only being offered to one percent of people residing in the United States. I should be flattered but instead I'm going to refuse this invitation; save the $495.00 and make my own travel arrangements.
